This film, set in Brooklyn's Hassidic community, is about a young woman who harbors doubts about continuing to follow the path of her religion.  A favorite at the Sundance Film Festival.<P>

Said and Khaled are walking time bombs.  With explosives strapped to their bodies, the two young Palestinians slip into Israel, planning to unleash terror in Tel Aviv.
Winner of the Golden Globe and nominated for the Oscar for best foreign film.<P>

March 18 – MY FATHER, MY LORD (2007) In Hebrew with English subtitles<br>
An inquisitive boy worships his father, but rebels against him in the small ways that all children do against authority.  A critique of Orthodoxy by a filmmaker who grew up in a Hassidic community but abandoned it when he was 25 to study film.  Named Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival.<P>

April 15 – THE PIANIST (2002) Starring Adrian Brody<br>
Roman Polanski's film is based on the memoirs of a Polish Jewish pianist who survived the war in the Warsaw ghetto. Won three Oscars including best actor <P>
